Finest Homemade Ribble Valley Family Fayre
Very much a family affair, Greendale View Kitchen on Chatburn Road, Downham, has re-opened with stylish new interiors, wonderful views and a mouth-watering ‘all day’ menu of home cooked fare. Trevor and Louise Rutherford, who ran the popular Puddleducks tearoom in Dunsop Bridge for nine years, have taken over the business with their son Ashley and college student Kelsey studing patisserie.
The menu offers breakfasts and lunches including sandwiches, jacket potatoes, ploughman’s and fisherman’s platters, pies, hotpots and Italian meatballs, together with a daily-changing menu of five or six seasonal specials, homemade soups and traditional Sunday roast lunches.
The main dining area can accommodate 50 with long distance views across the Ribble Valley towards the Yorkshire Dales. The outsides eating area in the sun trap garden area shares the panoramic views.
